Economics

There is total 14 faculty in Department of Economics (DE), among which 5 professors, 7 associate professors. In recent years, DE faculty undertook and completed a total of 50 research projects which include  2 major projects of National Social Science Foundation, 2 provincial and ministerial key projects, 10 other projects of the National Natural Science Foundation and the National Social Science Foundation. DE faculty received 10+ provincial, ministerial, industrial, municipal level research prizes, and a number of achievements have been approved and adopted by provincial and municipal leaders. Besides, a number of decision-making advices are provided to the government and enterprises, which have formed a certain influence at the national, provincial, industrial levels.

The Department of Economics cultivates business operation and management talents with international vision, and the graduates have comprehensive and solid basic knowledge of economics, keen and flexible business management literacy, pioneering and innovative spirit, and down-to-earth pragmatic style. The employment rate of graduates majoring in International Economics and Trade has remained above 97% all year round, and the average employment rate in the past five years has exceeded 99%, with more than one-third of the graduates already owning their own companies, and the average salary of the majors topping the list of the economic and management majors.
