As spring brings warmth and vitality, SEM organized a series of themed activities titled “Blooming with Grace, Celebrating Women’s Joyful Moments” to mark the International Women's Day. The events were held to honor the dedication and contributions of the School’s female faculty members while enriching their cultural and spiritual lives.

During the activities, Li Xinchun, Party Secretary of SEM; Ding Zhihua, Dean of SEM; Associate Deans Jiang Hongyan and Ran Hongtao, along with members of the School’s labor union committee, joined the celebration and extended their festive greetings to the female faculty members.

On behalf of the School’s leadership team, Party Secretary Li Xinchun delivered a speech conveying sincere appreciation to female faculty members for their long-standing dedication and contributions to the School’s development. He also extended warm wishes for good health, professional success, and happiness to all women faculty members.

The first event took place on the afternoon of March 6. During the sachet-making workshop, participants carefully selected herbs such as aromatic spices, sewing them into decorative sachets while experiencing the elegance of traditional handicrafts. Later in the evening, a bonfire gathering brought the celebration to a lively peak. Faculty members gathered around the fire, singing, dancing, and interacting joyfully, creating a vibrant atmosphere of friendship and celebration.

On March 8, the activities continued with additional creative experiences. During the handmade bread-baking session, teachers kneaded dough, shaped loaves, and baked them together, enjoying the soothing and rewarding process of baking. In the coffee-bead bracelet DIY activity, participants selected beads and creatively combined coffee-themed elements with aesthetic design to craft personalized accessories, enjoying a relaxing and artistic experience.

Meanwhile, Liu Ran, Chair of the School’s Labor Union, delivered flowers to female faculty members who were teaching on the front line that day, extending heartfelt holiday greetings directly in the classroom.

Throughout the events, participants enjoyed the relaxed and joyful atmosphere. Many faculty members commented that the activities were creative, engaging, and meaningful, allowing them to relax, relieve stress, and experience a strong sense of warmth and care from the School community.

Looking ahead, SEM’s women’s committee will continue to organize diverse activities tailored to the interests and well-being of female faculty members, providing supportive and enriching opportunities that allow them to recharge and maintain a positive work–life balance. With renewed energy and enthusiasm, they will continue contributing their talents and dedication to the high-quality development of the School.
