On November 29, 2025, the 2025 National Digital Literacy Enhancement Practice Activity for Teachers and Students, hosted by the Center for Educational Technology and Resources Development of the Ministry of Education and organized by China Educational Technology magazine, was held in Quanzhou. A total of 2,000 teacher representatives from schools across the country attended the on-site exchange event.

The micro-lecture titled “How Can One Defy Fate? Brand Image Building from Ne Zha 2,” carefully developed by Professor Wang Xiaozhen of SEM, stood out among 12,724 submissions recommended by 32 provincial-level units nationwide. The work was successfully selected for the event and invited for presentation and exchange. This also marked the first time that CUMT was invited to participate in the on-site exchange session of this national activity.
Representing CUMT, Professor Wang Xiaozhen traveled to Quanzhou to deliver the presentation. She shared her work with experts and teachers from across the country, covering aspects such as teaching background and approach, instructional content and functions, teaching innovation and objectives, instructional design and process, as well as teaching outcomes and reflections. Her presentation received high praise from the attending experts.
During the event, Professor Wang also engaged in productive discussions with educators nationwide on innovative applications of AR and digital technologies in the Brand Management course, including virtual training, creative production, and the development of digital course resources.
The National Digital Literacy Enhancement Practice Activity for Teachers and Students is a nationwide teacher education initiative organized by the Ministry of Education, aimed at implementing the national strategy for educational digitalization and promoting the deep integration of digital technologies with teaching and learning. The activity seeks to improve teachers’ ability to apply digital technologies, enhance their digital literacy, and showcase innovative digital teaching practices from frontline educators.
The selection of Professor Wang Xiaozhen’s micro-lecture for the national on-site exchange event not only demonstrates her long-term commitment to teaching research and innovation, but also reflects the achievements of the university and the School in promoting digital education and cultivating innovation-oriented talent in recent years. In recent years, Professor Wang has won several teaching awards, including the Second Prize in the Provincial University Teaching Innovation Competition and the First Prize in the Provincial Micro-lecture Competition, and her work has been recognized as a typical provincial case of curriculum-based ideological and political education.
The successful selection and presentation of this work highlight the strong professional competence and teaching innovation ability of our faculty, and fully demonstrate SEM’s continuous exploration in digital and intelligent education, as well as its efforts to enhance teachers’ digital technology application capabilities and digital literacy.
