On the afternoon of November 15, alumni from the 1995 cohort of Industrial Foreign Trade returned to SEM to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their enrollment. Carrying deep affection for their alma mater and fond memories of their classmates, alumni traveled from across the country to reunite on campus. A reunion exchange meeting was held in Room B503 of the School.

The event was attended by Ran Hongtao, Associate Dean of SEM, along with faculty representatives including Wang Lianghong, Zhang Xiangdong, Mi Lingyun, Zuo Hongliang, and Lei Qiong. Teachers and alumni gathered to reminisce about their student days, renew friendships, and discuss developments in their respective industries.

On behalf of the School, Associate Dean Ran Hongtao extended a warm welcome and sincere greetings to the returning alumni. He introduced the School’s historical development, faculty team construction, disciplinary and program upgrades, research achievements, and progress in talent cultivation. He emphasized that SEM has always upheld its educational philosophy of cultivating management professionals with a strong sense of social responsibility, solid professional competence, and innovative spirit. He also noted that alumni are the School’s valuable assets and strong supporters, serving as role models for current students. He expressed hope that the School and its alumni would continue to strengthen ties and jointly contribute to the future development of the School.

During the exchange session, alumni shared their personal journeys and professional achievements over the past three decades. They fondly recalled their youthful days at the university, the pursuit of knowledge in the classroom, and the friendships formed on campus. Many alumni expressed admiration for the university’s remarkable development over the past thirty years. They also reflected on the guidance they received from their teachers, particularly the encouragement to “write their research and contributions on the land of the motherland.” The education they received at the university not only provided them with solid professional knowledge but also instilled in them a spirit of innovation, perseverance, and responsibility that has guided them throughout their lives.

During the visit, the alumni toured the Wenchang Campus and the Nanhu Campus, including the university history museum. They also visited the School’s new teaching building, experimental center, and case classrooms, experiencing firsthand the upgraded facilities and vibrant academic environment. The alumni expressed great pride in the School’s continued development.

The reunion was not only a joyful gathering of the 1995 Industrial Foreign Trade alumni but also a meaningful continuation of the spirit and traditions of their alma mater. Looking ahead, SEM will continue to strengthen connections with its alumni community and work together to contribute to the development of the university and the progress of society.
