On the afternoon of September 28, Professor Wang zhongming, China Regional Director of the Association of MBAs and the Business Graduates Association (AMBA & BGA), Senior Professor in the Humanities at Zhejiang University, Director of the Global Entrepreneurship Research Center at Zhejiang University, and Chair of the International Silk Road Entrepreneurship Education Alliance, visited the School of Economics and Management to provide on-site guidance regarding the follow-up work for AMBA & BGA accreditation. Attendees included Li Xinchun, Party Secretary of the School, Dean Ding Zhihua, Vice Dean for Research Wang Delu, Vice Dean for Teaching Jiang Hongyan, Vice Dean for Administration Ran Hongtao, and relevant members from the MBA Office and International Accreditation Office.

During the meeting, Dean Ding Zhihua provided a systematic report on the School’s post-accreditation improvement measures, the “15th Five-Year Plan” development strategy, and the strategic development path of the MBA program. He expressed sincere hope to receive Professor Wang’s professional advice.

Professor Wang emphasized that to deepen the outcomes of the accreditation, the School should focus on several key areas: accelerating the development of EDP programs, appointing practice-oriented management professors, formulating guidance documents for high-quality internationalization, and continuously strengthening the system construction and improvement of model professional courses. Regarding the School’s “15th Five-Year Plan,” he suggested first clarifying the School-level strategic management framework, which should cover sub-strategies for discipline development, internationalization, and sustainability, and then developing concrete action plans and implementation measures.

He also provided additional recommendations, including: organizing applications for key projects under the National Natural Science Foundation of China, promptly establishing a Discipline Strategic Advisory Committee, promoting the construction of the Humanities Laboratory in alignment with international standards, and advancing the application for doctoral programs in engineering-related fields.

Party Secretary Li Xinchun expressed gratitude for Professor Wang’s insights and, regarding the doctoral engineering application direction, noted that the School’s main available disciplines currently include Energy, Resources & Environment and Safety Management. Both parties engaged in further in-depth discussions on these topics.

Dean Ding Zhihua concluded that the School will actively implement the recommended follow-up measures and expressed thanks again for Professor Wang’s guidance, looking forward to continued support for the School’s development.
