Meeting Scene
On the afternoon of September 26, Mr. Xu Guodong, Director of AACSB East Asia, and Professor Zhang Zhengtang, Vice Dean of Nanjing University School of Management, visited the School of Economics and Management to provide guidance and engage in discussions regarding the AACSB accreditation process. Attendees included Li Xinchun, Party Secretary of the School, Dean Ding Zhihua, and members of the International Accreditation Office.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dean Ding Zhihua warmly welcomed Mr. Xu and Professor Zhang and expressed sincere gratitude for their visit. He then provided a brief report covering the School’s history, discipline layout, program development, faculty team, and international cooperation, highlighting the School’s earnest expectations for the successful progress of AACSB accreditation.
Mr. Xu Guodong provided a systematic introduction to AACSB, explaining the new accreditation standards, core procedures, and evaluation focus. He addressed specific questions encountered in the School’s accreditation preparation and assured full support for the process. He emphasized that international accreditation should be deeply integrated with the School’s “15th Five-Year Plan” and suggested that School leadership provide strategic guidance during the preparation of the accreditation report to ensure alignment with the School’s overall development.
Professor Zhang Zhengtang expressed his gratitude for the invitation and highly praised the School’s strong commitment and resource investment in the AACSB accreditation process. He highlighted that AACSB accreditation not only reflects the School’s overall educational strength but also serves as a critical tool for establishing a “management closed loop” and promoting internal development.
Party Secretary Li Xinchun expressed strong agreement with these viewpoints, emphasizing that the essence of accreditation lies in “planning-guided action and assessment-driven improvement”—a closed-loop mechanism of “planning—implementation—evaluation—continuous improvement” to achieve high-quality development.
Dean Ding Zhihua concluded that this exchange clarified the School’s accreditation strategy and direction. The School will take this guidance as an opportunity to systematically advance accreditation preparation and self-improvement, using the latest international standards to promote the accreditation process to a new level.
