Recently SEM successfully held a pre-departure training session for undergraduate students participating in the 2025 overseas internship program. The session aimed to help students prepare comprehensively for their upcoming international experience and ensure a smooth and rewarding internship journey.
The training session was honored to welcome Mr. Peter, Regional Director for Asia at the University of Aberdeen’s International Office, along with faculty representatives from the School of Economics and Management.

Mr. Peter delivered a detailed introduction to the internship program, outlining its structure, objectives, and advantages. He provided valuable insights into practical aspects such as transportation, accommodation, and daily life, addressing students' concerns with clarity and patience. His thorough explanations helped students gain a clearer understanding of what to expect and how to better prepare.

Following Mr. Peter’s presentation, two faculty members from the School of Economics and Management gave a comprehensive overview of the program schedule. They placed special emphasis on safety awareness and teamwork, reminding students to remain vigilant about personal safety, comply with local laws and regulations, and adhere to university guidelines during their overseas stay.
This pre-departure training laid a solid foundation for the upcoming internship experience. With expert guidance and valuable practical advice, students now have a better understanding of their goals and responsibilities. It is believed that, with strong support from all parties involved, the students will gain valuable knowledge, broaden their horizons, and add meaningful experiences to their personal and professional development during their internship at the University of Aberdeen.
