On April 28, a delegation from the School of Economics and Management at China University of Mining and Technology, led by Associate Dean Professor Ran Hongtao and accompanied by faculty members Dr. Tian Jiarui and Dr. Zhang Huailiang, visited two key high schools in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province—Lianhu High School and Huzhou High School—to conduct a research symposium focused on enhancing secondary–higher education articulation. The visit aimed to deepen inter-school collaboration and foster new pathways for cultivating top-tier, innovative talent.

At Linghu High School, the delegation was warmly welcomed by Principal Dong Xing and Director of Academic Affairs Shen Weiqiang. The two sides held in-depth discussions on talent development and educational synergy. Principal Dong highlighted the school’s rich history and its unique education programs, including its Tibet-focused classes. He expressed strong interest in further cooperation with CUMT to expand opportunities in student development and university admissions.
Professor Ran provided an overview of CUMT’s academic strengths, faculty resources, and student development model, and proposed targeted initiatives such as study tours and professional seminars to help students better understand university-level education and career planning.
In the afternoon, the delegation visited Huzhou High School and met with Principal Yu Genqiang, School Office Director Xiao Hang, and senior faculty member Gu Yuping. Principal Yu shared the school’s focus on truth-seeking, innovation, and excellence, and emphasized the importance of collaborative education between high schools and universities.

Following the discussions, the delegation toured Huzhou High School’s education exhibition, accompanied by Director Xiao Yuan.
This visit laid a solid foundation for ongoing collaboration between CUMT and key high schools in Huzhou. It not only expands developmental opportunities for high school students but also supports the university’s efforts to enhance student recruitment and improve the quality of talent cultivation. Looking ahead, both sides will continue to explore cooperation in faculty exchanges, academic guidance, and experiential learning—working together to nurture well-rounded talents with both national commitment and global perspective.
