On the afternoon of April 16, a delegation from the College of Business at Chinese Culture University (Taiwan), led by Dean Professor Wenmin Lu, visited the School of Economics and Management at China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT) for a dialogue and exchange session. Xu Kang, Deputy Director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Xuzhou Municipal People’s Government, and Xu Lang, Deputy Director of CUMT’s Office for Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs, accompanied the delegation.

Xu Lang extended a warm welcome to the guests on behalf of the university. He emphasized that CUMT has always placed great importance on cross-strait exchanges and hopes this meeting serves as a springboard for deeper mutual understanding and future inter-university collaboration. He also expressed hope that such interactions would inject fresh momentum into educational and technological cooperation between both sides of the Taiwan Strait.

Dean Ding Zhihua provided an overview of the School of Economics and Management, including its history, academic programs, and research achievements. He expressed strong interest in establishing practical, comprehensive cooperation between the two business schools.

In response, Professor Lu expressed appreciation for the warm hospitality and noted that both institutions share similar visions for business education and research. He voiced a desire for both sides to work together in nurturing socially responsible business leaders. The two parties then engaged in academic dialogue around the concept of “ESG” (Environmental, Social, and Governance) in corporate development and discussed opportunities for future faculty and student exchange programs.

Following the meeting, the delegation visited the university's history museum to gain deeper insight into CUMT's institutional development and achievements.
