On the afternoon of January 5, the 2011 MBA alumni gathered for their 10th graduation anniversary reunion in Room B503 of the School of Economics and Management. Alumni had an engaging exchange with faculty representatives, including Hu Qiong, Yang Tong, Fan Shiqing, Feng Wenlong, and Lei Qiong. Together, they reminisced about their passionate years, shared cherished memories, and enjoyed a joyful reunion.
Faculty representatives warmly welcomed the returning alumni, expressing sincere greetings and revisiting their time together in the classroom. They provided updates on the school's history, program development, and achievements of the MBA program. The faculty reaffirmed the school’s commitment to supporting alumni growth and fostering collaboration between alumni and their alma mater. This interaction aims to broaden students' horizons, promote resource sharing between academia and industry, and jointly build a promising future for the school. Faculty members encouraged alumni to maintain their passion and determination as they embrace a poetic and hopeful future.
The alumni shared updates about their professional and personal development, reflecting on the theme of "Change and Constancy." They fondly recalled their campus life and recounted experiences after graduation, expressing deep affection for the school and heartfelt gratitude to their teachers. Alumni reaffirmed that the university remains their eternal spiritual home. Carrying the university’s ethos of resilience, diligence, and the pursuit of excellence, they continue to uphold the institution's honor and pride as ambassadors of its legacy.
Bathed in the warm winter sunlight, the alumni strolled around the campus where they once lived and studied. They visited the scenic South Lake campus, admiring its meticulously planned buildings, lush greenery, graceful swans on Mirror Lake, and the harmonious blend of natural beauty and architectural elegance. The visit allowed them to witness the university’s recent developments and cherish memories of their student days.
Tour of the University History Museum
The alumni also visited the University History Museum. Guided by a docent, they listened attentively to the introduction, watched historical footage of the university, and learned about its illustrious past. Immersed in this historical context, the alumni gained a deeper understanding of the university’s enduring spirit, its trailblazing pioneers, and the values that have defined its educational mission. This experience reinforced their sense of responsibility as alumni and their connection to the institution's rich legacy, laying a solid foundation for preserving and promoting the university’s spirit.
In the evening, alumni and faculty gathered for a warm and heartfelt celebration, exchanging wishes for continued success of the university and health and happiness for all. They pledged to reunite again in another decade, with a promise not to miss the next gathering.
