    SEM Receives Multiple Honors at the 2024 Jiangsu Province Practical Teaching Annual Conference

    On November 7-8, the 2024 Annual Conference of the Practical Teaching Work Committee of the Jiangsu Higher Education Teaching Management Research Association was held at Jiangsu Ocean University. Over 200 representatives from more than 90 universities across the province participated in in-depth discussions and exchanges on topics including the reform of industry-education integration platforms/systems/communities, improving student internship and practical training systems, enhancing the practical engineering abilities of faculty teams, AI-enabled practical teaching, and the development of practical courses.


    During the conference, the Practical Teaching Work Committee summarized and recognized the practical teaching reform achievements of Jiangsu universities in recent years. Our school received one Outstanding Case of Practical Teaching Reform Innovation and four Excellent Papers at the Annual Conference. Among them, two papers from the teaching team of the Finance Department of our school were selected as Excellent Papers of the conference.

    In recent years, with strong support from the university’s policies, the school has implemented a talent cultivation model reform that closely integrates theoretical teaching with practical application. The school has steadily advanced and implemented a series of reform measures, covering key areas such as case-based teaching, simulated training, innovation and entrepreneurship projects, corporate case competitions, and the improvement of the quality of graduation theses (designs). At the same time, the school has actively deepened cooperation with enterprises, jointly building industry-university cooperation platforms, which has further enriched the practical teaching content. These measures reflect the new ideas and paths for the school’s talent cultivation model transformation and have achieved positive results.
