Recently, the research report "Strategic Study on Accelerating the Construction of the Xuzhou Innovation Circle," written by Professor Yao Weikun and his team, received approval from both Song Lewei, Secretary of the Xuzhou Municipal Party Committee, and Wang Jianfeng, Vice Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Xuzhou. This report has been adopted as part of the city's development strategy.
This achievement marks another significant contribution of our school’s research team to local economic and social development. It aligns with the efforts of Jiangsu Province to build a globally influential innovation center, Xuzhou's development as a regional technological innovation hub, and the collaborative innovation efforts in the Huaihai Economic Zone.
The report, based on new trends in the collaborative innovation practices of major global innovation districts, provides a theoretical framework for the regional innovation circle. The study involved comprehensive research on the universities, technology management departments, and key enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta and the Huaihai Economic Zone. It outlines strategies for the development of Xuzhou's innovation circle, including spatial planning, construction steps, and the integration of technological talent, innovation industries, and scientific resources.
This research is of great practical value for the further formulation of the Xuzhou Innovation Circle's development plan and the high-quality development planning of the Huaihai Economic Zone.
