To further promote the undergraduate admission campaign and enhance the university's reputation and admission quality, the School of Economics and Management held the 2024 Undergraduate Admission Promotion Mobilization Meeting on June 21 at 16:00 in Room B108. The meeting was attended by Chang Junliang, Deputy Director of the Student Affairs Office and Director of the Admissions Office; Li Xinchun, Party Secretary of the School; Sun Yunxiao, Party Vice Secretary; Jiang Hongyan, Vice Dean; and more than 50 faculty and staff from 11 teams involved in the admission promotion work this year. The meeting was chaired by Sun Yunxiao, Party Vice Secretary of the School.
First, Deputy Director Chang Junliang provided a detailed analysis of the student source situation in Zhejiang Province. He explained the school’s level, academic strengths, and the characteristics of student development. He then outlined the undergraduate admission promotion strategy, emphasizing objectivity, accuracy, and safety. He noted that recruitment efforts should combine daily and focused promotional activities and proactively establish close connections with target high schools while maintaining enthusiasm and a strong sense of responsibility.
Next, Zhang Xu, a member of the Ningbo Admission Work Group, shared his experience with recruitment. He emphasized that to attract more excellent students, the promotion work should not only showcase the university’s academic advantages and platform resources but also highlight the school’s educational philosophy, academic achievements, and successful student development cases. He also stressed the importance of emphasizing the practical opportunities, research platforms, and international exchange programs that the university offers.
Finally, Party Secretary Li Xinchun gave a concluding speech. He emphasized that the quality of student sources directly affects the quality of talent cultivation and student employment, making it a key factor in the university’s development. To improve the quality of student sources, Li advocated for strengthening the normalization of admission work to ensure the effectiveness and continuity of the recruitment campaign. He also suggested using multiple channels for promotion to enhance the university's reputation and attract more prospective students.
This meeting marks the official launch of the School of Economics and Management’s 2024 admission campaign. The Admissions Office will devote full effort to organizing, coordinating, and ensuring the smooth implementation of the promotional activities. Recruitment serves as an important bridge connecting the university with prospective students. Through effective promotion, the university can fully showcase its educational philosophy, faculty strength, teaching facilities, and curriculum to students and parents, providing them with a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the school.
