On the afternoon of May 17, the School of Economics and Management hosted the sub-forum for the 2024 "Driving the Future, Serving the Nation through Science and Education" International Young Scholars Frontier Academic Exchange Event. The forum, held in Room B117 of the School of Economics and Management, combined online and offline formats. Over 30 outstanding scholars from renowned universities in China, including Renmin University of China, Zhejiang University, Nanjing University, and Wuhan University, as well as institutions in Australia, Hungary, and South Korea, participated in the event.
The forum was attended by Dean Ding Zhihua, Deputy Party Secretary Sun Yunxiao, Vice Dean Zhu Xiaodong, Vice Dean Jiang Hongyan, as well as department heads, program directors, and postdoctoral representatives. Vice Dean Jiang hosted the event.
At the start of the meeting, Vice Dean Jiang extended a warm welcome to the scholars and provided a brief overview of Xuzhou, China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT), the School of Economics and Management, and relevant talent recruitment policies.
Dean Ding then supplemented with additional insights on the school’s policies for cultivating high-level academic achievements, as well as benefits related to children’s education, office conditions, and the school’s recent
efforts in talent recruitment. He sincerely invited young scholars to join the School of Economics and Management at CUMT.
Eleven young scholars delivered keynote presentations, sharing their personal backgrounds, research experiences and achievements, and future career plans. Finally, Vice Dean Zhu engaged with the scholars in discussions on research planning, talent recruitment benefits, faculty development, and support policies.

This sub-forum is an integral part of the 2024 "Driving the Future, Serving the Nation through Science and Education" International Young Scholars Frontier Academic Exchange Event. It enhanced the understanding of CUMT and the School of Economics and Management among young scholars from home and abroad, providing a platform for communication and collaboration. This initiative further facilitates the recruitment and collaboration of high-level talents for the school.
