    SEM Hosts Second Teaching Forum

    On April 2, the School of Economics and Management successfully held its second teaching forum on digital teaching reform in Room B503. The forum's theme was "Knowledge Graph Construction and Teaching Application Practices." The event was chaired by Professor Jiang Hongyan, Vice Dean of the School of Economics and Management.

    Vice Dean Jiang began by introducing the guest speaker, Ms. Zhang Yixin, a senior lecturer at the Smart Research Center of Superstar Group. Ms. Zhang specializes in innovative educational practices, including the application of information and intelligent teaching models, course construction for first-class undergraduate course evaluations, and training for teaching innovation competitions.

    During the forum, Ms. Zhang started by explaining the concept of knowledge graphs and detailed the step-by-step process of constructing a course-specific knowledge graph. She elaborated on the forms of knowledge graph construction, the use of AI tools to assist in building knowledge graphs, the organization and tagging of knowledge points, and how to utilize online teaching resources to enhance the construction of knowledge graphs. She also introduced the use of digital human technology to support the creation of digital resources and demonstrated the latest digital teaching tools, such as the Superstar AI Toolbox, to enhance teaching effectiveness.

    Following Ms. Zhang's presentation, participating faculty engaged in lively discussions about the applications of knowledge graphs and digital teaching in the classroom.

    In her closing remarks, Vice Dean Jiang expressed that the forum had deepened faculty members’ understanding of digital teaching reform and broadened their knowledge of knowledge graph construction. She encouraged all faculty to further explore and apply knowledge graphs and digital teaching tools, advance the digital teaching reform in the School of Economics and Management, improve teaching outcomes, and actively pursue various teaching achievement awards.
