On the afternoon of March 19, Dr. Chen Xiaoqing, Director of International Partnerships at Aberdeen Business School, visited the School of Economics and Management to discuss collaboration on joint educational programs. Attendees included Dean Ding Zhihua, Deputy Party Secretary Sun Yunxiao, Wang Huaqing, Head of the Big Data Management and Application Department, and Mou Yupeng, Head of the Business Administration Department, along with other faculty members.

At the meeting, Dean Ding extended a warm welcome to Dr. Chen and provided an overview of the School and its departments. The discussion covered various collaborative initiatives, including joint training programs, inter-departmental exchanges, faculty visits, and summer internships.
Deputy Secretary Sun Yunxiao addressed specific details of the collaboration, focusing on concerns raised by students and parents. Together with Dr. Chen, they developed preliminary solutions. Professors Wang Huaqing and Mou Yupeng elaborated on the curriculum structure, student characteristics, and faculty recruitment needs of their respective departments.
Dr. Chen introduced Aberdeen University, highlighting its educational approach and collaborative models, including the “3+1” and “2+2” programs and summer internships. The discussion enabled both parties to deepen their understanding of each other’s educational systems and reach a preliminary agreement on future cooperation. Both sides agreed to enhance the promotion of joint programs to ensure their smooth implementation, laying a solid foundation for furthering the School's internationalization of undergraduate education.

On the afternoon of March 20, Dr. Chen Xiaoqing and Ma Qing, Aberdeen University’s Southeast Asia International Officer, conducted an information session for students of the School of Economics and Management. Vice Dean Jiang Hongyan attended the session. The presentation covered topics such as Aberdeen City, the university’s location, academic rankings, campus environment, student support services, teaching resources, admission requirements, application procedures, tuition fees, scholarships, summer programs, and an introduction to the marketing program. The session provided a comprehensive overview of the “3+1” program.

During the Q&A session, the speakers answered students’ and parents’ questions in detail. Students expressed that the session was highly informative and practical, addressing key concerns for those considering the program. This event offered invaluable guidance for prospective participants and demonstrated the School’s commitment to fostering global learning opportunities.
