On the afternoon of March 13, the School of Economics and Management successfully held its inaugural teaching forum in Room B503. The theme of the forum was "Digital Teaching Reform and Knowledge Graph Construction." The event was hosted by Professor Jiang Hongyan, Vice Dean of the School, and featured Ms. Sun Huili, Senior Product Manager of WisdomTree, as the guest speaker.
Ms. Sun began by presenting the national guidelines on “accelerating the digital transformation of higher education to create a new form of teaching.” She also reviewed the journey of digital transformation in education. She then introduced practical applications of knowledge graphs in professional development and course design, sharing existing examples of knowledge graph construction.
Following her presentation, the participating faculty engaged actively in discussions about the application of knowledge graphs in professional development, textbook creation, and course design. They also exchanged views with Ms. Sun on potential challenges in implementing knowledge graphs during the school’s digital transformation process.
In her concluding remarks, Vice Dean Jiang highlighted the importance of knowledge graphs in the School’s digital transformation efforts. She encouraged faculty members to prioritize the role of knowledge graphs, learn how to use them effectively in teaching, and maintain close communication with experts from WisdomTree. She called on everyone to work together toward the digital and intelligent transformation of the School’s professional development and teaching reform.
The School of Economics and Management places significant emphasis on teaching reform and professional development. Digital and intelligent courses represent a critical direction for the new wave of curriculum reform, serving as a foundation for constructing first-class disciplines and courses. By advancing digital course development, the School aims to enhance student learning efficiency and improve the quality of undergraduate education and talent cultivation.
