On March 9, a delegation from SEM at CUMT, led by Jiang Hongyan, Associate Dean of SEM, visited Shanghai Jinchuang Information Technology Co., Ltd. for research and discussions on university–industry cooperation. The two sides held in-depth talks on topics including program development, talent cultivation, internship bases, course development, and research platform construction.
The delegation was warmly received by Zhu Shouyong, Executive Vice President of Shanghai Jinchuang. Participants in the meeting also included He Zhongying, Head of the Human Resources Department; Sun Zhuokai, Head of the R&D Department; MBA alumnus Chang Ke; and faculty members from the Department of Business Administration, including Liu Manzhi, Mu Yupeng, Yao Weikun, and Wang Dianwen.

During the meeting, Zhu Shouyong welcomed the SEM delegation and provided an overview of the company’s development history, product research and development, and business scope. As a high-tech enterprise, technology-based SME, and “specialized and sophisticated” enterprise, Shanghai Jinchuang focuses on medical information technology development and system integration. The company has built strong expertise in areas such as medical big data integration and management, medical data monitoring, and healthcare insurance settlement systems.

Associate Dean Jiang Hongyan expressed appreciation for the warm reception and introduced SEM’s achievements in talent cultivation, program development, internship and training bases, and university–industry cooperation. She noted that Shanghai Jinchuang’s strengths in medical big data management and intelligent platform development align closely with SEM’s goal of cultivating top innovative undergraduate talents. She expressed hope that the two sides could strengthen cooperation in areas such as digital-intelligent course development, joint teaching, integration of industry–education–research, and internship and training bases.

During the discussions, both parties reached consensus on several key initiatives, including talent training, dual-degree course development, and data resource sharing. They also signed an agreement to establish an off-campus internship base, officially designating Shanghai Jinchuang as an Educational Practice Base of China University of Mining and Technology.
Aligned with the university’s 2026 development plan, SEM is currently promoting reforms such as the digital-intelligent transformation of economics and management programs, interdisciplinary integration in talent cultivation, and practice-oriented training focused on vertical industry sectors. The School aims to shift talent development from a traditional “knowledge examination” model toward a comprehensive system emphasizing capability, innovation, and practical experience.
Looking ahead, SEM will continue to deepen undergraduate education reform, accelerate the digital transformation of academic programs, and build multi-channel and multi-dimensional university–industry cooperation mechanisms. By breaking down the “walls” between campus and industry, the School seeks to strengthen industry–education integration and establish a new platform for cultivating top innovative talents.
