On the afternoon of January 11, SEM held a faculty and staff meeting in Lecture Hall B108. The meeting was attended by Li Xinchun, Party Secretary of SEM; Ding Zhihua, Dean of SEM; Liu Ning, Deputy Party Secretary; and Vice Deans Jiang Hongyan, Wang Delu, and Ran Hongtao, along with all faculty and staff members. The meeting was chaired by Li Xinchun.
During the meeting, Dean Ding Zhihua presented the School’s 2025 annual work report. He noted that SEM has remained closely aligned with the university’s “Double First-Class” development goals, while focusing on the critical stage marking the conclusion of the 14th Five-Year Plan and the preparation of the 15th Five-Year Plan. Over the past year, the School has made steady progress in several key areas, including Party building, institutional governance, discipline development, faculty development, education and teaching, scientific research, talent cultivation, social service, and international cooperation.
Dean Ding also reviewed the overall implementation of SEM’s 14th Five-Year Plan, summarizing major achievements since its launch while objectively analyzing existing challenges and areas for improvement. Building on this assessment, he provided a detailed interpretation of the 15th Five-Year Plan, including the School’s development vision, guiding principles, strategic priorities, and key initiatives. He outlined the major tasks and support mechanisms that will guide the School’s development in the coming years and encouraged faculty and staff to find a sense of belonging and achievement in contributing to the School’s future growth.
In his concluding remarks, Party Secretary Li Xinchun further elaborated on the core objectives and implementation priorities of the 15th Five-Year Plan, focusing on key areas such as scientific research, education and teaching, faculty development, and talent cultivation. He concluded by extending New Year’s greetings and best wishes to all faculty and staff, expressing hope for continued success and well-being in the year ahead.
