Science and education rejuvenate the nation, and business management strengthens the country. On November 28, 2025, the “2025 China Business School Development Forum and Education Ceremony,” co-hosted by MBAChina and Manager Magazine, was grandly held in Beijing. More than 300 university leaders, experts, scholars, and relevant representatives from over 100 institutions nationwide gathered to discuss new opportunities for the development of Chinese business education and explore future global trends in management education. With “intellectual exchange, collision of viewpoints, and resonance of wisdom” as the core atmosphere, the ceremony not only showcased the cutting-edge explorations of Chinese business schools in educational innovation and talent cultivation but also, against the backdrop of China’s deep economic transformation and accelerated technological revolution, contributed important insights to the global development of management education.
In the award selection of this ceremony, the MBA program of China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT), with its solid educational foundation, distinctive strengths, and outstanding educational achievements, won multiple major honors:
CUMT MBA Program was awarded “2025 China Business School MBA Program TOP100.”
The International MBA Program jointly run by CUMT and Université du Québec à Montréal was awarded “2025 China Business School Sino-Foreign Cooperative Business Master’s Program TOP10.”
The Digital Operations and Management MBA Program of the School of Economics and Management, with its differentiated training orientation and innovative practice, received the “2025 China Business School Featured MBA Program Award.”
Achievements at both the individual and enterprise levels were also impressive:
Dean Ding Zhihua of SEM, in recognition of his accomplishments and influence in disciplinary development, talent cultivation, operational management, and quality enhancement, received the “2025 China Business School Outstanding Dean Award.”
Professor Ji Feng, Deputy Director of the MBA Education Center and Head of the MBA Program, received the “2025 China Business School Excellence in Operations Award.”
Sun Lei, General Manager of XCMG Group and alumnus of the 2023 Sino-Canadian MBA Program, received the “2025 China Business School Outstanding MBA Alumnus Award.”
XCMG Global Learning and Education Center was awarded “2025 China Business School MBA Talent Nurturing Enterprise Award.”
These multiple honors represent high recognition from the industry of the CUMT MBA program’s educational quality, distinctive development, and societal impact, and also reflect the important achievements of the university’s sustained efforts in business education. Looking ahead, the School of Economics and Management of China University of Mining and Technology will take this recognition as a new starting point, continue to uphold the mission of “contributing new knowledge in economics and management, cultivating business elites, and co-creating social value,” deepen educational reform, strengthen distinctive brand development, expand the breadth and depth of university–enterprise cooperation, and continuously enhance the core competitiveness and international influence of the MBA program, contributing CUMT’s strength to the cultivation of high-quality management talents with global vision, national commitment, and professional competence.
