On the afternoon of November 10, 2024, a delegation led by Shen Dai, President of Brest Business School in France, visited SEM for academic exchange and discussions on international cooperation. The delegation was warmly received by Jiang Hongyan, Associate Dean of SEM, who introduced the School’s overall development, student structure, and achievements in international education in recent years. The two sides held in-depth discussions on cooperation across undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral education, with particular focus on a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program, and reached a preliminary cooperation intention.
During the meeting, Jiang Hongyan first extended a warm welcome to President Shen and his delegation. She noted that SEM has consistently adhered to an open and international approach to education, actively expanding global partnerships and establishing stable exchange mechanisms with several overseas universities. She expressed hope that this meeting would serve as an opportunity for both institutions to promote practical cooperation in talent cultivation, faculty exchange, and research collaboration, thereby enhancing the internationalization of both schools.
President Shen Dai introduced the development history, disciplinary strengths, and international strategy of Brest Business School. He emphasized that the institution attaches great importance to cooperation with Chinese universities and hopes to further expand cooperation fields and innovate partnership models based on existing exchanges. He also presented the school’s DBA program, which features several cutting-edge research directions, including low-altitude economy, psychology, arts management, health management, biopharmaceuticals, finance, and artificial intelligence. The program adopts a China–France joint training model, emphasizing the integration of theory and practice to cultivate high-level management professionals with global vision and innovative capabilities.
Both sides conducted detailed discussions on the cooperation framework for the DBA program, including curriculum design, faculty arrangements, and admission standards. They reached preliminary consensus on joint enrollment, credit recognition, and a dual-supervisor system. The two institutions plan to establish a joint working group to formulate an implementation plan and promote the early launch of the cooperative program.
The visit not only deepened mutual understanding between the two institutions but also laid a solid foundation for broader and deeper collaboration in the future. Moving forward, both sides will continue to uphold the principle of mutual benefit and win–win cooperation, working together to develop a high-level model of international education cooperation and contribute to the cultivation of globally competitive interdisciplinary talents.
