With the refreshing breeze of golden autumn and the fragrance of osmanthus in the air, the School of Economics and Management welcomed the first day of the new semester on September 1. Students returned to classrooms full of hope and anticipation, beginning their new learning journey. The campus was filled with vibrant energy and vitality, as faculty and students together embraced the challenges and opportunities of the new semester with enthusiasm. Li Xinchun, Party Secretary of the School of Economics and Management, Dean Ding Zhihua, and Vice Deans Jiang Hongyan, Wang Delu, and Ran Hongtao visited teaching sites to understand the new semester’s teaching work. They conducted comprehensive checks on teacher attendance, student participation, teaching preparation, and the operation of teaching facilities to ensure a smooth start to the semester.
On the first day of the semester, a total of 35 teachers carried out teaching activities. Teachers arrived early, tested equipment, organized lesson plans, and prepared thoroughly for instruction. Each teacher carefully designed the content of the first lesson, delivered it with enthusiasm, and engaged students, who listened attentively and took detailed notes. Interaction between teachers and students was frequent, creating a lively classroom atmosphere. Teachers also used online platforms for real-time engagement, making the first class more efficient and interesting through functions such as roll call, in-class quizzes, and live Q&A.
After class, school leaders who observed the lessons highly praised the careful preparation of the instructors and the positive, energetic attitude of both teachers and students. They held in-depth discussions with teachers on classroom innovation and content optimization, injecting new momentum into the improvement of teaching quality for the new semester.
A new semester brings a new atmosphere. The School of Economics and Management will take the successful start of the first day of teaching as a springboard, continue to deepen educational and teaching reforms, and make unremitting efforts to cultivate business talents with international vision and innovative abilities.
