    Signing of Safety Responsibility Agreements

On May 9, the School of Economics and Management at China University of Mining and Technology held a safety work meeting and a signing ceremony for the Safety Responsibility Agreements, aiming to thoroughly implement the university’s safety policies, strengthen internal safety management, and ensure a secure and stable environment for teaching and research. The meeting was attended by the School’s leadership team, department chairs, and heads of administrative offices.

During the meeting, Party Secretary Li Xinchun emphasized that safety is the cornerstone of the School’s development and directly affects the wellbeing of all faculty and students. He stressed that, given the current complex and evolving safety landscape, all staff must elevate their political awareness, take up their responsibilities seriously, and treat safety as a top priority—with strong awareness and swift action.

Associate Dean Ran Hongtao delivered a report on the university’s recent safety work meeting and conveyed key directives. He also reviewed the School’s recent safety efforts, identified existing gaps and areas for improvement, and proposed targeted rectification measures.

Following the discussions, Secretary Li Xinchun signed the Safety Responsibility Agreements with key leaders, department heads, and office directors. The agreements clearly define the responsibilities and duties of each party in safety management, establishing a tiered accountability system where “each level supervises the next, and responsibility is implemented step by step.” All signees pledged to strictly fulfill their duties, maintain strong safety oversight in their respective areas, and safeguard the School’s overall stability.

This meeting and signing ceremony further reinforced the awareness of safety responsibility, clarified priorities, and provided a roadmap for future safety efforts. Moving forward, the School of Economics and Management will continue to enhance its safety management systems and build a long-term safety mechanism to support its high-quality development.
