    School of Economics and Management Establishes High-Quality Student Source Base at Dafeng Senior High School and Holds Admissions Promotion Event

    On March 20, Ran Hongtao, Vice Dean of the School of Economics and Management, along with Zhang Xu, Director of the Academic Affairs Office, Zhou Hongxiao, Director of the Student Affairs Office, and Zhou Yan from the Administrative Office, visited Jiangsu Dafeng Senior High School to hold a signing and plaque-awarding ceremony for the establishment of a "High-Quality Student Source Base" and to conduct an admissions promotion event. Guo Yongmin, Party Secretary and Principal of Dafeng Senior High School, Lu Jiang, Vice Principal, Chen Qiang, Director of Academic Affairs, and a group of students attended the event.

    During the ceremony, Vice Dean Ran Hongtao introduced the history of China University of Mining and Technology, its research achievements, academic programs, graduate outcomes, and this year’s admissions plan. He expressed hope that more outstanding students from Dafeng would choose to apply to the university. Subsequently, Vice Dean Ran Hongtao and Principal Guo Yongmin signed the Cooperation Agreement on Establishing a High-Quality Student Source Base and jointly unveiled the plaque.

    After the signing ceremony, Zhou Hongxiao delivered a special admissions presentation to the students, explaining the university’s distinctive academic programs, training models, international exchange opportunities, and career prospects. She also highlighted the recent progress in discipline development, research innovation, and campus culture at the university.

    The presentation sparked enthusiastic interaction. Vice Dean Ran Hongtao, Zhang Xu, Zhou Hongxiao, and Zhou Yan answered students’ questions regarding major selection, career planning, and other areas of interest.

    This signing and plaque-awarding event further deepened the university’s collaboration with high schools and reinforced the connection between the School and its student recruitment bases. Through these partnerships, the university aims to establish long-term cooperation with more secondary schools, jointly explore integrated education models, and cultivate more exceptional talents to meet national strategic needs and support socioeconomic development.
