In celebration of the 115th International Women’s Day, the Trade Union and Women’s Committee of the School of Economics and Management organized a lakeside walk on the afternoon of March 7, under the theme “Spring Breeze Rustles Willows, Women Shine with Grace.” The event took place at Su Gong Pagoda by Yunlong Lake and brought together female faculty members for an uplifting outdoor gathering. Party Secretary Li Xinchun, Associate Dean Jiang Hongyan, and faculty member Ran Hongtao joined the participants, sharing in the scenic springtime views and heartfelt conversations on education.
Starting from Su Gong Pagoda, the walk followed in the historical footsteps of Su Shi, who once governed water systems in the region. From the chalk-dusted podiums of classrooms to the sparkling reflections of Yunlong Lake, the women who shoulder half the sky of the School’s mission demonstrated the spirit of dedication and resilience that defines modern educators.
Guided by union representatives, the participants strolled along the lakeside path, accompanied by laughter, birdsong, and the fragrance of early spring. The lakeside came alive with the vibrant energy of the group — a moving stream of colors and camaraderie. Under the tower's shadow and spring’s embrace, nature and wisdom harmonized. More than just a walk in nature, the event served as a journey of connection and renewal, offering a chance to share joy, strengthen bonds, and rejuvenate minds.
The event concluded with a group photo, capturing the poetic spirit of the day. Participants expressed their determination to take the reflection of the lake and the silhouette of the pagoda as inspiration, continuing to carry their responsibilities with strength and grace — writing vibrant new chapters as women educators in the new era.
Looking forward, the Women’s Committee of the School of Economics and Management will continue to respond to the real needs of female faculty through targeted research and build a “three-dimensional empowerment system” focused on skill enhancement, mental and physical well-being, and career development. Through a mix of themed lectures, skill-sharing salons, and outdoor experiences, the Committee aims to create a nurturing environment that blends professional growth with the art of living — helping women shine ever more brightly in the fertile soil of education.
