Twenty years of camaraderie, a lifetime of alumni connection. On the morning of December 14, the 2004 MBA alumni returned to campus to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their enrollment. A forum was held in the School of Economics and Management’s B503 conference room, where alumni reunited with Dean Ding Zhihua and faculty representatives Xie Shouxiang, Wang Jianjun, and Xia Huifang to reminisce about their youth and shared memories.
Dean Ding Zhihua warmly welcomed the returning alumni on behalf of the school, expressing sincere greetings and recalling the cherished moments of teaching and interacting with them two decades ago. He also shared updates on the school’s history, academic development, and achievements in the MBA program. Dean Ding emphasized that alumni are the school’s most valuable asset and proudest legacy, highlighting the significant contributions MBA graduates have made to the coal industry and the Huaihai Economic Zone. He reaffirmed the school’s commitment to supporting alumni growth, fostering connections, and promoting collaboration between the school and its alumni. Faculty representatives Xie Shouxiang, Wang Jianjun, and Xia Huifang conveyed their heartfelt blessings to the alumni.
During the forum, the returning alumni shared updates on their professional journeys, reflecting on the enduring bonds of their 20-year friendship. They expressed deep gratitude to the school and faculty for their guidance and support. Afterward, alumni invited their former teachers to tour the beautiful Nanhu Campus and the School History Museum, experiencing firsthand the significant developments of their alma mater.
In the afternoon, the alumni hosted the "2004 MBA Alumni Reunion Salon" in Classroom B404. MBA Education Center Deputy Director Ji Feng delivered a report titled "Macroeconomic Policy and Enterprise Development." Alumni engaged in lively discussions centered on the theme of "principles," integrating their professional experiences and academic insights. They shared perspectives on macroeconomic policies and enterprise development, fostering a dynamic and amicable exchange of ideas.
This 20th-anniversary reunion strengthened the alumni's deep connection to their alma mater. Many expressed their determination to use this event as an opportunity to enhance their collaboration with the school, offering advice and contributing to its growth. Together, they aim to write an even brighter chapter for the School of Economics and Management.
