The 4th Jiangsu Province Higher Education Teaching Innovation Competition, guided by the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and organized by the China Association of Higher Education, is a prestigious event showcasing the teaching capabilities of university educators. It has garnered significant attention from undergraduate institutions nationwide.
The Jiangsu provincial competition, which also serves as a qualifier for the national competition, was themed “Promoting Teaching Innovation, Cultivating First-Class Talent”. It featured six tracks across areas such as "New Engineering, New Medical Sciences, New Agricultural Sciences, and New Liberal Arts" (the "Four New" initiatives), foundational courses, and curriculum-based ideological and political education. Participants were grouped based on their professional titles, with a total of 329 projects submitted by 76 undergraduate institutions across Jiangsu Province. Following evaluations of classroom teaching recordings, teaching innovation reports, and presentations on teaching design, 174 award-winning projects were selected, along with 11 institutions recognized with excellent organization awards.
Among the many outstanding participants, Su Haiyan from the Department of Accounting stood out and won the special prize in the competition, marking the best performance in the history of the School of Economics and Management in this event. This achievement highlights the school's advancements in teaching reform and innovation.

In recent years, the school has actively encouraged faculty to engage in teaching innovation practices and supported their participation in key national teaching innovation competitions. Since the launch of the Jiangsu Province Teaching Innovation Competition, the school has extensively mobilized teachers, organized specialized training sessions, and guided participants in refining their teaching designs, syllabi, and presentation videos.
The school also invited teaching experts to provide one-on-one feedback on trial lectures, helping participants continuously improve their courses and submission materials. Additionally, comprehensive support was offered for creating presentation slides and recording demonstration lessons, ensuring that participants had the resources needed to excel.
This achievement serves as motivation for the school to continue deepening its teaching reforms and fostering a culture of "learning and teaching through competition." Moving forward, the school will focus on building innovative teaching teams, exploring advanced teaching methods and technologies, and striving to cultivate exceptional talent with a strong sense of innovation and practical skills.
