Speaker Introduction
Dr. Wang Bing is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Central South University, holding joint appointments at the School of Resources and Safety Engineering and the Xiangya School of Public Health. He serves as the Director of the Safety Theory Innovation and Promotion Research Center and the Executive Director of the Safety Science and Emergency Management Research Center at Central South University.
Additionally, he is an adjunct professor at the Jilin University National Development and Security Institute. Professor Wang is the chief expert of a major National Social Science Fund project and has been recognized as one of the “Furong Plan” Hunan Youth Talents, Xiangjiang Youth Social Science Talents, and is listed among Stanford University’s global top 2% scientists. He has also received accolades such as Provincial Excellent Doctoral Dissertation and the Ten Outstanding Young Scholars of Central South University.
Professor Wang is an invited guest editor, editorial board member, or youth editorial board member for 10 journals in his field. His research focuses on interdisciplinary safety (Safety & Security) foundational theories and their applications.
He has published over 100 structured research papers indexed in SSCI, SCI, CSSCI, and CSCD journals, serving as the first or corresponding author. He has also authored or co-authored 10 monographs and textbooks, including Safety Culture Studies, Safety Informatics, Introduction to Safety Intelligence, Introduction to Biosafety Intelligence, and National Safety Systems Science.
Professor Wang has led numerous significant research projects, including:
