Expert Introduction
Professor Prosper Bernard is a renowned international scholar and consultant with extensive experience in business strategy, project management, information systems management, international trade, marketing, and international trade education. He is a visiting professor and international consultant at Sarasota University and serves as the president of Pan American Joint University.
Professor Bernard is the founder of the China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT) Sino-Canadian MBA Program. He has served as the director of the EMBA program at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), president of the Graduate Education Committee, and director of the joint Ph.D. program in business offered by four universities in Montreal. He has taught and served as a visiting professor at numerous institutions, including McGill University, the University of Alberta, Bishop's University, St. John's University in New York, École Polytechnique, École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC Montréal), Université de Montréal, Concordia University, Barry University in Miami, and the University of Southern California.
Professor Bernard also serves as a management consultant for various organizations, providing expertise in international trade, project management, business planning, business education, and information systems. He has held management positions in information systems in sectors such as banking, insurance, education, and transportation. He is or has been a board member of several companies, both private and state-owned, including UQAM and Virtual Universe, of which he is a co-founder (listed on the Calgary Stock Exchange), as well as the International Data Sharing Corporation (listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange).
Professor Bernard holds a solid multidisciplinary academic background. He earned a Doctorate in Business Administration from the City University of New York, an MBA from St. John’s University, a Bachelor of Arts with Summa Cum Laude honors from Université de Montréal, a Bachelor of Science from McGill University, a Data Processing Certificate (CDP) in data processing, a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation, and an Adm.A. certification (Practicing Consultant) in management. He has authored several books and numerous articles.
