About the Speaker:
Professor Prosper Bernard graduated from McGill University with a bachelor's degree and earned his Ph.D. from the City University of New York. He is fluent in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese and holds dual citizenship in the United States and Canada.

Former Vice President and Director of the University of Quebec at Montreal
Visiting Professor and Scholar at globally renowned universities, including McGill University, the University of Alberta, the University of Montreal, and Concordia University
Coordinator and instructor for the joint MBA program between CUMT and the University of Quebec
Historical and Personal Connection to China:
During World War II, Professor Bernard’s uncle served as a missionary in Feng County, Jiangsu Province. Tragically, he was killed by Japanese forces while protecting Chinese citizens. Inspired by his uncle’s legacy, Professor Bernard has committed himself to fostering friendly exchanges between Canada and China.
Since 1983, Professor Bernard has visited Xuzhou annually. In the late 1990s, he played a pivotal role in establishing the joint MBA program between CUMT and the University of Quebec. His contributions to bilateral relations earned him the prestigious Jiangsu Province Friendship Award and the CUMT Friendship Award.
Publications:
Professor Bernard has published numerous books and articles to enhance Canada-China relations, including:
