About the Speaker:
Professor Chen Ning, Ph.D., is a distinguished scholar at the School of Low Carbon Energy and Power Engineering, CUMT. He is a Jiangsu Province "Qinglan Project" Young and Middle-aged Academic Leader, Chairman of the Xuzhou Electric Power Industry Association, and a Board Member of the Jiangsu Energy Society.
Academic and Professional Experience:
Visiting Scholar, York University, Canada (2017–2018)
Researcher and Visiting Scholar, University of Saskatchewan, Canada (2008–2010)
Professor Chen specializes in renewable energy, energy-saving theories, and green energy transitions. His current research focuses on:
Pumped storage technology for abandoned mines
Smart cold-end systems for thermal power plants
Renewable energy integration with buildings
Key Achievements:
Led multiple national, provincial, and ministerial-level research projects, including a key consultation project for the Chinese Academy of Engineering, joint industry-academia research projects in Jiangsu Province, and "11th Five-Year Plan" scientific research initiatives.
Founder of online cleaning robot technology for thermal power plants and Selective Solar Tunnel (SST) technology.
Published over 60 academic papers in national and international journals.
Holder of 26 patents.
Recipient of three provincial and ministerial awards.
